Statement of Faith

1. The Scriptures: We believe the Bible, comprising the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of humanity and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

2. The Trinity: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, each possessing all the attributes of deity and the characteristics of personality.

3. The Deity of Christ: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

4. The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives life to believers, enables them to understand the Scripture, empowers them for godly living, and equips them for service and witness.

5. The Fall of Humanity: We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

6. Salvation: We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only those who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.

7. The Church: We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences. The Church is the body of Christ, the community of believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

8. Baptism and Communion: We believe in the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is the public declaration of a believer’s faith in Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of Christ’s death until He comes and should be preceded by solemn self-examination.

9. The Return of Christ: We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “blessed hope” has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

10. The Eternal State: We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: of the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
